Alan Shearer is unsurprisingly the one prepared to complain about it, although at this advanced stage of his career he is probably feeling the pace more than most.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "It seems a crazy decision to play the game on Saturday after a tough game on a Thursday night.
"We're disappointed that the game is being played on the Saturday and not the Sunday - and the fact it's a lunchtime start rubs salt into the wounds.
"We'll have to see how we are, but we won't have much time to prepare and I just hope it doesn't effect us.
“Whatever happens, we can't be any worse than we were at Wolves last season when they knocked us out of the FA Cup!"
