After two injury-plagued seasons, Streete is could be loaned out by manager Alan Pardew for first-team experience when the new season begins.
Remie Streete: “We’ve got four centre-halves at the moment, so I could get out on loan and get some experience.
“I’ve had a bad two seasons with me being injured – that’s hindered me a little bit – but I’ve got a year left on my contract.
“I want to push on here, get some experience on loan and see where I am at the end of the season.
“I’m gaining confidence.
“When you’re a young player and make the step up, you have to get your confidence first through training.
“Hopefully, I can play more and more and get more confident, and then have a good season ahead.”
