Chelsea defender David Luiz has claimed he watches all the Newcastle United games he can – in order to support on loan star Kenedy, who is trying to impress Chelsea while on loan at Newcastle.
Luiz noted that the left sided player is actually a lot quieter than many people think and that he’s doing really well on loan – so well in fact that there have been rumours Newcastle want to make the loan deal permanent – and the player himself has expressed a love for the club and playing regular football to boot.
“You see his tattoos and the ripped jeans and you think he is a crazy boy, but he is shy,” Luiz told the Daily Mail.
“His past was not easy, he is from the street.
“But he is a great boy with a big heart.
“I try to watch all of Newcastle’s games and he calls me to ask about his performance.
“But he should not worry, he has been amazing.
“I am cheering all the goals.”
Another Chelsea link with Newcastle is of course their former interim manager, Rafa Bentiez, who is in charge of the Magpies and doing a brilliant job with what he has.
