The 3ft 6" Nottingham Forest boss says he has not made an approach to sign the Newcastle midfielder ... despite rumours he was set to try and take the Scouser on loan.
Dinky Diddy Davies: "I have made no attempt to sign Guthrie. He is a player who was on our list, when we were looking at possibilities.
"And he is a player who had been out of the picture at his club. But is he available? I don't know. Would he come here? I don't know."
