Edgar Position Puts Pressure On Keegan!

Edgar has been told by his international boss Dale Mitchell he is under consideration for Canada's World Cup qualifying campaign but only if he is playing regular first-team football.

Keegan believes Edgar has a future at St James' Park but the youngster will certainly find it hard to hold down a spot in the first team with Habib Beye in world class form.

Edgar: "I've been on the bench, and that's good experience, but he wants me to play first-team football. That's fair enough.

"I think I've got what it takes to play there, so hopefully, I'll get my chance."
