He loaned out Fraser Forster to Celtic, and finally sold him to the Tims sometime later, and brought in Charlton reserve keeper Rob Elliot.
United got £2m for Forster - but Celtic sold him for £10m-plus.

As for Newcastle's second-choice goalkeeper, he has once again threatened to leave the club in the next transfer window because his career is going nowhere sat on the bench.
Elliot has been named in Martin O’Neill’s provisional squad for the Republic of Ireland alongside four other goalkeepers, and lack of match practice will probably cost him another couple of caps this week.
O’Neill is expected to announce the final squad today.
Should Elliot be selected, the Republic of Ireland have two big European Championship Qualifiers, first at home to Gibraltar on Saturday, before a trip to world champions Germany next Tuesday.
