I have been to Tenerife for ten days, but I was informed while I was sunning on Las Americas' black sand that the latest issue of The Mag would be the last.
Apparently it says on the cover “Thank You and Goodnight”, and that's the last we will see of it.
But, let's be honest, fanzines have been dated since 1998 when the internet made football news immediate, rather than buying a magazine that was two or three weeks out of date the second it hit the shops.
How it has lasted so long is a miracle in itself, and although I applaud Mark Jenson for making a living out of it for so long ... I'm sure the time is right to call it a day.
The Mag is on the internet these days ... welcome to the modern world chaps.
