Huckerby signed for Newcastle from Lincoln City when Kevin Keegan was last at the club. And although KK rated him highly, Sir John Hall insisted Keegan sell players to raise money to pay back £5m that was borrowed to add to £10m to break the transfer world record to sign Alan Shearer.
Sadly Huckerby was the first to go, before he could make his mark at St James' Park.
Glenn Roeder is now at Carrow Road, and he has left Huckerby out of the squad in recent weeks to accommodate his seven loan signings.
But suspensions have put the winger back in the frame, and he insists he has no 'axe to grind' with his gaffa.
