The Football Association, as you would expect, blamed everyone (or anything) but themselves!
The old Wembley was famous for more than just it's twin towers, as fans on cup final day had to walk through a flood 6" deep of piss.
What armchair supporters saw on TV was not the reality of the event. The place deserved to be pulled to the ground because it was a shit-hole.
As for the NEW Wembley? The FA tell us it is perfect in every way, but those England fans who were there on Saturday (like ourselves), know the truth.
The FA couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.
They have played down the problems experienced by England fans before (and during) the Euro 2012 qualifier with Switzerland.
Although the game at Wembley was a sell-out, there were a significant number of empty seats (10,000) at kick-off.
Angry fans made their displeasure known on the social networking site Twitter.
FA spokesman: "There were a large number of late entries to the stadium which contributed to queues at several turnstiles.
"Nonetheless, over 80,000 fans were in their seats 15 minutes after kick-off."

FOREWORD BY FAIRS CUP HERO JOHN McNAMEE
Sports Journalist Richie Everson: "At last a book that the fabulous Newcastle United fans can relate to. It's informative, all the facts and figures are there, plus the 120 match reports from all the fixtures ... but it is the articles by the supporters that amazed me.
"I went to many of those games, and this is the only book I can honestly say 'hits the nail on the head'!
"Yes we know the results and the scorers, but some of the facts in this book had me so wrapped up in it I couldn't put it down.
"Was Benny Arentoft cup-tied when he played in the final? Big Wyn and his battle with John McGrath; McFaul scoring a penalty when the crowd had gone home; the trouble in Palermo; it is all amazing stuff.
"I would honestly give this book 10 out of 10."
