He has been out of action since succumbing to an Achilles problem late last term, missing pre-season altogether as he underwent a series of injections which were supposed to have him up and running by October.

But the treatment has proved highly ineffectual thus far, forcing the 32-year-old will fly out to his homeland in a desperate attempt to fix the problem and prolong his career.
He is expected to arrive in Melbourne in the next few days to undergo tests and treatment at the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre.
