If you check the metropolitan area of Newcastle, the population of Newcastle City, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, and Gateshead works out at 795172.
About 195,000 of those are under 20 so that leaves 600000 adults. Of course not all will like footie, but this is why we have the community concept, to broaden the appeal.
Anyway, it''s academic, because we have private and corporate investors who will contribute far more than the fans.

I really am legally bound not to say anything at the moment and it's killing me because I normally am an open and honest person.
