Swansea have agreed terms for Middlesbrough striker Leroy Lita’s £1.75m move and are now set to beat off Leicester and Nottingham Forest for Newcastle’s £2m-rated winger Wayne Routledge.
But Forest chairman Nigel Doughty, when talking to The Evening Post, has confirmed that the club are in talks with Wayne Routledge over a move to The City Ground.
But can Forest afford the players wages?
Nigel Doughty: "He is somebody on our list, yes. I don't know if it will happen, but we are talking.
"Players will have to come to the conclusion that, if they are not playing in the Premier League, the Championship has more restrictions these days."
The major problem is the player insisting he wants a "pay off" from Newcastle before he signs for anyone!
