Newcastle United have agreed terms with former Leeds United and Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn on a deal which will see him join the under-23 side as a coach, according to reliable journalist Lee Ryder.
The Chronicle’s chief Newcastle reporter claims on his personal Twitter account that the 52-year-old has joined current coach Ben Dawson to work with the reserve side at St James’ Park, having been out of league management since his departure from Rotherham back in 2016.
The former Championship boss, who has 61 games of experience in the dugout in the second tier, also took charge of Leeds as both a caretaker boss and full manager.
