... we get to hear about former Newcastle United striker Michael Owen's flight diversion.
How could we live without such staggering knowledge?
Don't you know who I am?
Owen was on a British Airways aircraft which had to be diverted to Manchester due to thick fog near to Heathrow – its original destination.
He took to Twitter to express his complaints and was bombarded with abuse.
"Flying from Los Angeles to London and then up to Manchester. Due to fog at Heathrow, plane diverts straight to Manchester," he explained.
Owen (never the most popular of players during his time at Newcastle) sparked controversy by branding the journey "torture" and implying, due to his celebrity status, he should be entitled to special privileges.
"Been told I can't get off. Got to wait on plane for over an hour to then fly to Heathrow and miss my flight back up to Manchester. #Torture," he wrote.
"And they say the people of Syria have it tough," one user responded.
"Don't they know who you are…," another poked fun.
The 34-year-old's rant continued and he pleaded: "Please BA, let me walk off the plane and into my dad's car. I want to pick my kids up from school and don't need to go to Heathrow and back."
"Go through security like the rest of us," one user responded.
