Former Toon winger Damien Duff has moved Down Under to continue his football career.
Duff had an injury-plagued three years at Newcastle after signing from Chelsea in a £5m deal in 2006.
He scored the own-goal that relegated Newcastle and he was first out of the door that summer.
Damien Duff: “I’m probably in the home straight of my career, although I like to think I’m still fit and have a few years left.
“I just want to get there and start winning – and winning silverware.
“I’m going for the football. I’m going to work hard and obviously win things.
“From a football point of view, I just want to get started and start playing games.”
