United’s chairman knows that Leeds are also keen to clinch the signature of Kleberson, but can not complete any move until they have raised funds by sellling either Woodgate or Seth Johnson. Which is why he is keen to sign the Brazilian before making a renewed bid for the England defender.
The Evening Chronicle suggests that the new bid for Woodgate could be as low as £7million, rising to £10million depending on appearances.
Leeds have however re-iterated their stance that Woodgate is not for sale and have denied making a bid for Arsenal’s Matthew Upson to replace him.
