The future of the Newcastle United midfielder has been is in doubt for two years now, after Wenger said he was impressed by the player in a fixture back in 2005.
But nothing ever came of it, although the media have re-hashed the story countless times when the player has upset the management team in recent months. Most notably his constant use of his mobile phone that had Glenn Roeder furious.
The latest rumour, by the Daily Mail, says Sam Allardyce may "cash in on the talented but temperamental French midfielder. Arsenal and Fulham have both expressed an interest in the 21-year-old, who would be keen on a move to the capital."
