Garcia claims there is no chance of him leaving Espanyol in the January transfer window. Reports have claimed that the Magpies are considering a bid to take the forward to St James' Park, but they have no substance.
But the 26-year-old has shunned talk of a switch to anyone.
Garcia: "I believe that selling players in the winter market will be a big mistake after keeping the squad in the summer.
"I am very happy with the club because we are working to become a big club and, to achieve this objective, it is obligatory to stay with the same setup.
"In the press there are many rumours that appear, but we have not spoken with anybody."
