An all-star line-up has been announced for a charity football match in aid of the Prince's Trust.

Alan Shearer, Paul Gascoigne, Les Ferdinand and Peter Beardsley in black and white; Niall Quinn, Kevin Ball, Jason McAteer and Gary Bennett in red and white; as they take part in the Challenge Trophy.

Challenge creator Nigel Wilson said: "This is an exceptional line-up that the region has never seen before.

"We have got players flying in from around the world to play on the day and entertain the north east.

"Tickets are flying out, so I strongly suggest you grab yours now because they won't be there for long."

All proceeds will go directly to the Prince's Trust to help disadvantaged young people in the region.

Tickets can be bought at Newcastle United's box office on 261 1571, or via www.nufc.co.uk, priced £12 for adults, £6 for children and £15 for access to the bar areas.
