Sunderland’s miserable run at the Stadium of Light continues after they suffered their fourth straight Championship defeat last night.
Despite some better football, the Black Cats never really looked like scoring but a home goal was a lot more likely than one from Nottingham Forest on an uninspiring night of football.
But Forest had a former Newcastle player in their ranks, and Daryl Murphy scored the goal which separated the sides after 86 minutes.
The Black Cats have not won at the Stadium of Light in any competition since December 17.
