Geordie Heart - But Not Premiership Quality?

After his injury-hit season, the 24-year-old defender called time on St James' Park in a hope of trying his luck at Loftus Road.

Keegan: "This is a great club, and wherever Peter Ramage goes, it won't be to a club as big as this.

"He knows that, but it will be to a club where he plays every week. He's got to go and play regular football. He's not 16, 17 or 18 any more, he's 24.

"But I would like to take his heart, and put it in the dressing room at Newcastle. The one thing he has is a massive heart."

Ramage always gave 100%, and although I'm sure the Toon Army wish him well in London, I think many fans felt he was a yard too short for the Premiership.

Too short, and not enough strength to play central defence and challenge the likes of Drogba, Rooney, etc.

And short in pace to catch the livewires like Wright-Phillips, Torres, etc at full-back.
