Gosling was a non-playing member of Alan Pardew's squad for Sunday's win at Wigan Athletic and the midfielder having fully recovered from the injury which has sidelined him since March.
Gosling ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in March playing for former club Everton and the versatile 20-year-old signed from the Goodison Park club on a free transfer in the summer.
Alan Pardew: "Dan hasn't played any reserve games, and he really needs one of those, but he's trained well, he's a good lad, and I thought it would be a nice boost for him to take him to Wigan.
"I needed the team to be fresh and right for West Ham.
"The options were there - do I put fresh legs in – or do I stick with a winning team? That's the decision I had to make."
