The Argentine is scheduled to return to the club’s Benton base for pre-season training at the start of July.
But Pardew - having fallen out with the player - feels that the winger is surplus to requirements despite having another season left on his contract.
Jonas spent last season on loan to Norwich City but tasted relegation for the second time in his career in England and ended his stint at Carrow Road on a low point after a spat with Neil Adams.
The 30-year-old did not see eye to eye with Adams and took to Twitter to say he was “sad” not to see an experienced manager in charge.
Pardew has made it clear he doesn’t want Jonas in his plans and told the winger he no longer had a future at the club six months ago.
With Jonas’ relationship with Pardew also souring in the last six months it is unlikely that he will get another chance.
The winger said earlier this year: “The manager told me in December I was not going to play any more and told me to find myself another club.
“I don’t know why it happened and I still don’t understand what I did wrong.
“There were no rows with Alan Pardew or anything like that.
“He just said I needed to leave and that was that.
“I honestly don’t know why I wasn’t playing, you will have to ask the manager that.
“He just made his decision and that was it.
“Something must have happened - but I don’t know what.”
