Clark has admitted it was a tough decision to leave hometown club Newcastle United and join Norwich City as assistant manager, but the job is step up from Reserve team coach ... and who knows what the future will bring.

Clark has been appointed Glenn Roeder's No 2 after the pair worked together during Roeder's time in charge at St James's Park.

Clark: "I have worked with him before and when he asked me to think about coming down and joining him at Norwich City, it was an opportunity I couldn't turn down.

"It was a tough decision, but to come and work alongside someone like Glenn again was the perfect opportunity for me. He's shown a lot of faith in me."
