After having his electronic tag removed on Friday, former NUFC striker Nile Ranger was able to play in Southend’s 4-2 win at Fleetwood on Saturday and marked his return with a goal – however his celebration that followed has caused controversy.
But we cannot help but feel the idiot will be back behind bars sooner rather than later ... and the world will be a better place for it.
The 26-year old is rarely far from controversy, having been released from a prison sentence last month after admitting to online banking fraud which saw a woman lose over £2,000.
He returned to the football pitch on Saturday however and took no time to make the headlines once again – for both good and bad reasons.
Ranger scored from the spot to put Southend 3-1 up, but what followed has caused controversy, with the striker pretending to use his boot as a gun during his goal celebration.
Ranger has created a reputation from himself and although it looked like he was about to make the headlines for scoring goals, it seems he just couldn’t help resist.
