Argentina coach Diego Maradona has called on both Fabricio Coloccini
and Jonas Gutiérrez for the upcoming South American World Cup qualifying games against Peru and Uruguay on October 10th and 13th.
Gutiérrez has been struggling with injury for some time.
He missed five games with a hamstring problem picked up in the Carling Cup victory over Huddersfield.
Argentina lie in fifth position in the standings. If they finish there, they will face a play-off against a CONCACAF nation.
After losing to Brazil and Paraguay two weeks ago, Maradona had announced he planned to do several changes.
Among those left out are Javier Zanetti, Fernando Gago and Jesus Datolo, all of them starters in the last game against Paraguay.
Maradona will used Argentina-based players in a friendly against Ghana next Wednesday.
