Fulham have a three-man shortlist which includes Hughton with caretaker-manager Kit Symons and former West Brom head coach Steve Clarke, and one will succeed Felix Magath.
Ahhhh, happy days!
The shortlist has been compiled by Fulham owner Shahid Khan’s five-man “managerial search committee” which consists of Niall Quinn, Danny Murphy, Brian McBride, Huw Jennings and David Daly.
Hughton, 55, was made the odds-on favourite for the job at Craven Cottage on Thursday morning after a steady flow of money for him.
The former Newcastle and Norwich boss has been out of work since parting company with the Canaries towards the end of last season.
