Jose Enrique will return to training on Monday, following a hamstring injury, but he won't be thrown straight back to action.
Hughton would love to increase Patrick van Aanholt’s loan spell ... and he believes it could happen, despite the Bluesbeing a left-back light after Ashley Cole’s broken ankle.
Chris Hughton: “We’re hoping José will start training on Monday.
“Patrick has two more games left. We have to make a decision about Patrick, it’s not as simple as José coming back and him going. Officially, his loan period finishes after Watford.
“We haven’t spoken to Chelsea about the loan situation yet, we’ve just spoken to them about his game and his performances. We will make decisions over the next week on how we address that situation.
“The loan period is for a month, but it can be extended. We haven’t spoken to Chelsea yet though, so we don’t want to jump the gun. We’ll assess that after the game this weekend.
“It’s been a tough one for him because he’s been replacing a player who has done very well for us this season and given us a real driving force on that left-hand side.
“As a young man, he’s come in and done well.”
