Hugo injury latest

The Portuguese midfielder suffered a dislocated shoulder in a training ground accident and has returned to his home country for treatment.

"The Portuguese specialist says it is best to wait until three weeks after the injury before performing the operation," physio Derek Wright said.

"However, he also says that by doing that we will be able to make up time in Hugo's rehabilitation.

"Normally a repair like that will take four months but we have been told that Hugo could be back in half that time."

But Wright did have good news about Olivier Bernard, saying: "Olivier's knee was quite swollen and it didn't look too good. We were a bit concerned about it.

"But the word from France is that the specialist is happy with everything and Olivier will not need an operation.

"Now we will just have to let things settle down and I would say he was 50-50 for the weekend."

Bernard is now rated as 50-50 for the clash with Fulham on Saturday, as is Nobby Solano who is recovering from a toe injury.
