Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is reportedly eyeing up a move for Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons before the transfer deadline on Friday.
The 22-year-old, who signed a contract with Newcastle in 2014, spent last season on loan at Serie A club Hellas Verona.
Magpies boss Rafael Benitez already has Kenedy, Matt Ritchie, Jacob Murphy and Christian Atsu to fill the wide positions of his squad, meaning that Aarons could be shipped out this week.
According to the Mirror, Gerrard wants to add the Englishman to his attacking options at Rangers, but will face stiff competition from Hull City and Greek club AEK Athens.
Despite being born in Jamaica, Aarons has five international caps for the England U20 side.
