Ameobi was on loan at the Britannia Stadium at the end of last season, but decided against joining them.
Now Ipswich have stepped in with a package but we hear Ameobi wants to link up with former boss Glenn Roeder at Norwich.
The problem is ... Roeder does not have that much money to spend.
Roeder will be back at his desk at Norwich tomorrow after a holiday in Florida, and I'm sure we will find out more.
