"We'd been on a dreadful run and even since I have been here we have had massive disappointments.
"We got done with the penalty that wasn't against Manchester City - it was never a penalty - and we went to Everton and could have won it in the second half.
"But against West Brom we didn't play well in the second half. We played very nervously and cautiously and in the end it was a massive relief to win.
"For some reason we took our foot off the gas and looked nervous. I said to the lads never to put me through that again at the end of the game."
