West Ham United stopper Adrian was targeted by Newcastle United during the summer transfer window.
And the goalkeeper has shown why Newcastle United must move for him in January, if Joe Hart comes back to take his place.
Adrian made his first Premier League start of the season yesterday, and the Spaniard was in incredible form, as he attempted to keep Manchester City’s attacking talents at bay.
Although Adrian did not manage to stop City from winning, he did make numerous excellent stops during the contest.
And Newcastle should seriously consider moving for the Spaniard again in January.
Sky Sports reported how Newcastle had Adrian on their wishlist in the summer, but they were unable to get a deal done.
Adrian has since been second choice at West Ham all season, with Hart favoured to him by Slaven Bilic and David Moyes.
Newcastle should now have been given all the encouragement they need to make above for the 30-year-old, as his showing against City proved that he would be an upgrade on either Karl Darlow or Rob Elliot.
