Juventus are prepared to end Moussa Sissoko’s Newcastle nightmare – but only if the Toon clash their £35million asking price.
Inter Milan have also made contact, but Juve are attacking midfielder Sissoko’s preferred destination — however the two parties are miles apart on their valuations of the France international.
It’s believed that Juventus are only prepared to pay £15m, and unless there is a massive compromise then Sissoko faces playing in the Championship until at least January.
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is determined to dig his heels in, believing £35m is a realistic price.
But all interested clubs are pointing to Sissoko’s often lacklustre displays during Newcastle’s relegation from the Premier League last season and insisting the St. James’ Park valuation is far too high.
Manager Rafa Benitez has told Sissoko, who wasn’t in the squad for Saturday’s match against Brighton, he will have to knuckle down and become a Championship player if he is still on Tyneside when the summer transfer window closes on Wednesday night.
Sissoko is desperate to get away and is not wasting any opportunity to express his feelings of discontent through the French media.
