Roberto Martinez (pictured right with the Wigan squad) sends Wigan into battle at Wolves on Sunday claiming the Latics are fighting for football's little men.
Roberto Martinez: "We are battling for the smaller clubs.
"We get a lot of letters from fans of other teams. That was especially true towards the end of last season, when the support we received was tremendous.
"Other clubs see themselves represented by the football dream we are living.
"The chairman started this project in 1995.
"Seven seasons in the best league in the world. It is an unbelievable achievement.
"It is the reason why so many people follow Wigan from a distance."
But don't you think these are words from a struggling manager who KNOWS Wigan's days as a top flight club are numbered?
