With Gary Speed and Laurent Robert already set to miss the game it is news we could well do without.
However Nobby Solano and Hugo Viana both came through the reserves 2-1 win at Everton on Tuesday and are likely starters at Loftus Road.
If JJ doesn’t make it it may give Brian Kerr the chance to play in his favourite central midfield role, although Clarence Acuna is another option.
Either way after the last two weeks we could do with a return to form from Kieron Dyer, who was almost anonymous against Everton and Man United.
Overall Dyer has enjoyed another good season with some superb performances, but still needs to work towards a greater degree of consistency if we are to mount a serious challenge for the title next year.
