"The semi final performance was excellent, especially when you consider Anderlecht had a player in their line up who had played Champions League football last season, but the victory over FC Twente in the Final was the icing on the cake and capped an unbelievable weekend for us," said Academy director Kenny Wharton.
"Newcastle United have made a lot of friends this weekend and even though we were playing a Dutch team in the Final, all the locals were cheering us on - it was tremendous!"
