Keegan 'On The Job' As Wise Fails Miserably!

Keegan had a meeting in London with Mike Ashley and Wise, naming the players he would like, but on his return he is still waiting for the first arrival.
One player even chose Wolves ahead of the Toon, and another youngster decided to sign a three-year contract with Carlisle United!
Obviously Wise hasn't the pulling power of the Messiah, and perhaps NOW we will see some transfer action.
Uncertainty over the hierarchy at St James's Park and the role of executive director Wise in the recruitment process has been viewed in some quarters as a sign that Keegan's importance to the club's summer recruitment drive is on the wane.
But Wise is impressing nobody with his failure to even sign youngsters, and the manager broke off his holiday in New York to talk to potential transfer targets.
Terry McDermott: "Even though Kevin's been away, make no mistake, he's been on his phone trying his best to bring new players to this club.
"Now we'll be coming back in this week and we're looking forward to the start of pre-season. Both myself and Kevin are great believers in a hard pre-season so that the lads are flying when it all kicks off."
