Keegan: "I was thrown in a little bit at the deep end when I took the job, so I am ready for a break, to be honest with you.
"But had the last six or seven games been at the start of the season, we would have been up at the top of the Premier League and looking forward to trying to stay there.
"There are a lot of things going to happen in this close-season. We have got four African players who are going to be playing four World Cup qualifiers between the beginning of June and the end of June, and we are back on July 7.
"There are lots of things still happening - Michael Owen will certainly be in the England squad and they have got two games, and there are others.
"There is still a lot of football out there being played and, of course, there is a European Championship.
"We tend to forget that because England aren't involved and neither are Scotland, Ireland and Wales, but there is a European Championship to watch as well, and there's an Olympics.
"Lots of things are going to happen before we get back here on July 7.
"But my focus now is trying to win these last two football games we have and then trying to get three or four players in that can give us all a reason to come back with even more optimism than we have at the moment."
