Newcastle have completed the signing of Spain Under-21 striker Xisco on a five-year deal from La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna for an undisclosed fee, the club have announced.
The 22-year-old will now join former Depor team-mate Fabricio Coloccini at St James' Park after the Argentinian became the Magpies' most expensive defender in their history.
Xisco made his debut for Deportivo at the end of the 2004/05 season before being loaned out to US Vecindario in the following season where he scored 13 times in 27 games.
Valencia have confirmed the signing of Ignacio "Nacho" Gonzalez, but the Uruguay midfielder has been immediately loaned out to Newcastle United.
Gonzalez has signed a four-year deal at the Mestalla, having spent the last six months on loan at Monaco.
The 26-year-old, who has 21 caps for his country, moves from Uruguayan club Danubio which he joined in 2002.
