Joe Kinnear is Toon tycoon Mike Ashley's puppet, and that was shown yesterday when he backed the Newcastle owner to the hilt!
Asked about the transfer money that was allegedly there to spend ... but not spent ... and Ashley's track record for broken promises ... and Kinnear would not have a word said against his boss.
And it was cringe-worthy to watch.
Kinnear Is NOT Our Future!
Kinnear: "We've agreed the contract and it's there on the table. And we've had a meeting about the future of the club.
"But we came to the conclusion that the best decision to make was to get round the table again at the end of the season.
"We have talked about what is the best way to take Newcastle forward.
"I've had a fantastic offer, but we shook hands on it and said we would address it at the end of the season.
"It's all about survival.
"Before the club can take the next step it's about us cementing ourselves in the Premier League."
Alan Shearer remains the fan's favourite but he will not consider the position while Mike Ashley holds the keys to SJP.
Another three and a half years with Kinnear is NOT what the fans want to hear.
Three years ago we were officially the 18th richest club in Europe with a burning ambition for European football.
Under Ashley we are a club fighting in the gutter for survival with Hull City, Stoke City and West Brom.
Kinnear cannot be this club's future!
