Hughton: "I spoke to Joe before the Everton game.
"He's on good form and I'm sure I'll talk to him a couple of times this week.
"I think from the way that Joe sees it and the club sees it, he's had an operation that will make him feel an awful lot better.
"How long it will take for him to come back? I don't know, but the one thing that people say about this operation is it gives you a new lease of life. Any talk of Joe not coming back has been dismissed.
"He will be back at some stage."
