... being left out of the squad for the club's pre-season training camp in the Netherlands.
This follows an amazing blast by ex-Newcastle striker Michael Chopra, who said his chances on Tyneside were limited because of big money players like Kluivert and Albert Luque, who Chopra described "two players who never had the heart to play for Newcastle, yet I did".
The former Barcelona striker was hounded out of Nou Camp by the Spanish fans who never took his lazy attitude. He spent a year on loan at St James' Park, where he blasted Graeme Souness for showing favour to Alan Shearer, saying: "Everyone knew I played better with Craig Bellamy - not Shearer".
Kluivert has been plagued by injuries since joining Valencia from Newcastle United last June. His move to the Primera Liga club was originally delayed for three weeks because of a problem in his left knee that was detected in the medical.
He eventually completed the move, but subsequently suffered a series of problems in his right knee which required surgery in February. He played just 202 minutes of league football for Valencia in the season.
