Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul is thought to be on Anderlecht’s wanted list.
The Belgian giants had held an interest in Matz Sels but opted against signing the former KAA Gent goalkeeper.
With Krul set to be made available for a permanent transfer by Newcastle, Anderlecht are now considering a bid for the Dutch international.
Krul has just completed a loan spell in his native Holland with AZ Alkmaar and United are currently looking to sign a new goalkeeper.
The Sunday Mirror say that Anderlecht are eager to offer Krul his next challenge.
Senior goalkeeper Frank Boeckx is currently injured with Anderlecht knowing they need to sign a replacement in time for the new season.
Krul is now entering the last year of his deal and Newcastle are considering bids for Pepe Reina of Napoli and Willy Caballero.
But West Ham and Chelsea are both believed to be rivals for the soon to be released Manchester City goalkeeper.
Caballero has officially said his goodbyes to City and posted on Instagram last week: “Thank you to everyone in Manchester City, these last three years will be unforgettable.
“Thank you for giving me the chance of joining in this family.
“I have made a lot of memories which I will always remember.”
Meanwhile, Sels is now understood to be wanted by Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
