Krul Reason Why Ashley Dream Has A Major Flaw!

But, as we have seen with (the then) two best prospects in world football - Diego Gavillan (South America) and Hugo Viana (Europe) - it never works that way.

Both players should be in their prime playing for Newcastle United, but just like the other batch that Sir Bobby paid millions for - Titus Bramble, Jermain Jenas, Darren Ambrose, Loman Lua Lua ... NONE are still at St James' Park.

The youngsters get a taste of first team football then realise they will be out of the picture for years as they fall behind in the pecking order as established big name players arrive.

Where am I going with this story?

Well, Newcastle United keeper Tim Krul (hot property at St James' Park) seems to have had a taste of action against Celtic and Rangers and rather liked the experience.

Reserve team football is not for Krul. And with Shay Given chasing appearance records, and Steve Harper picking up the scraps, the Dutch kid will be waiting in the wings again this coming season.

His home country is calling, and reports suggest he is set to play in Holland with either Heerenveen or Feyenoord.

Chelsea have also displayed an interest in the Dutchman but Heerenveen have tabled a €2.5 million bid (just under £2 million).

Krul: "This is a club that offered the most to me so that already gives me a special feeling.

"If Feyenoord make an offer, I am always open to a beautiful adventure in the south of Rotterdam.

"But we are as good as there [with Heerenveen]."

A permanent deal seems on the cards but Newcastle would be fools to let him slip through the net because NU Mad travelled to see him against the Old Firm last season and the kid is special.
