The highly-rated Feyenoord striker says the draw of a move to Tyneside could be right up his street, and he would relish the challenge to become a star in the famous number nine.
Kuyt: "I would love to play in the North-East. When I was young I loved Italian football, but only because (Marco) van Basten, (Frank) Rijkaard and (Ruud) Gullit were playing for AC Milan.
"Now I'd rather play in England. I love English football. I also think my style of play is completely right for the Premiership. A club like Newcastle would be my dream."
Kuyt is one of the most exciting strikers in Europe and certainly has the height and build to play alongside the smaller and quicker Michael Owen. But his age and a relative lack of experience could be a problem as we look at how Jon-Dahl Tomasson arrived from Holland with a massive reputation but failed to set the place alight.
