Worthington: "The one thing I'd like to see Dean doing is to go and knock centre-halves about the way Alan Shearer does. He's got the size, the presence and the ability, but he's just got to let one or two centre-halves he's about.
"If he gets that mean streak in his game then we've got one heck of a player on our hands".
Shearer's "up and at 'em" attitude has frightened the life out of many a defender, most notablt French international Frank Labouf who returned to play in his homeland saying: "The Premiership is too rough. You have strikers like Alan Shearer who hit defenders, which you don't get in France."
