Ipswich have asked about the former Newcastle defender once again suggesting a break away from the pressure of facing a THIRD sexual assault charge could do him good.
Ipswich Town or a long stretch in Durham prison ... I know what I'd choose for him!
Jewell is known to have enquired about the possibility of Bramble going back to Portman Road for a short spell.
That was put on the back burner when Martin O'Neill took charge and gave him games but it now appears Bramble is slipping back into the doldrums, even though he is fit again following an achilles and calf injury picked up over the Christmas period.
The 30-year-old appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court earlier this month, over allegations of indecently touching two women in separate incidents in a nightclub in Yarm, in September.
At court, the former England Under-21 player, of Wynyard, Teesside, was told he now faces an another sexual assault charge, which relates to one of the existing complainants.
He has already faced reports he was involved in TWO rapes earlier in his career - one when he was a Newcastle player.
The case was committed to Teesside Crown Court on a date yet to be fixed.
Bramble’s solicitor, Phil Smith: “These false charges, based on poor quality and contradictory evidence, are – and have always been – fervently denied.
“Titus very much looks forward to the opportunity to clear his name at his trial in the Crown Court.”
