Mackem Sends Bulgarian's To Toon!

The trial has been set up by former Sunderland striker Vic Halom, who played for the Mackems in their FA Cup triumph over Leeds United back in 1973.
A statement on the Bulgarian club's official website said: "Two players of PFC Levski Youth Academy Ivan Stoyanov and Ivan Goranov, fly to England on 5 July to join Newcastle United for one month of pre-season preparation.
"The trip is organised with the recommendation and assistance of the Newcastle scouting coach Vic Halom, who has lived in Bulgaria in the last few years."
