Damien Duff, as we reported last week, is missing London. He has admitted it himself, and that has forced Glenn Roeder to issue a statement saying the player is not for sale.
Sunderland boss Roy Keane would love the chance to step in and offer him a new lease of life. But Mackemland is NOT London! So let's rule out that story before it even starts.
Elsewhere, Tottenham boss Martin Jol claims he wants to take club captain Scott Parker back to London.
Jol wants to add a new midfielder to his squad in the summer and has ex-Charlton and Chelsea star Parker atop his shopping list.
And the big one ... Jose Mourinho is said to be keeping tabs on Steve Taylor, and considering a move in the summer.
Greenwich-born Taylor left London for Tyneside when only days old, and he insists he is a "Geordie" regardless of what it says on his birth certificate. A move to Chelsea would obviously attract interest for any player, but Newcastle have been very quick to quash the rumours.
"London Calling"?
I don't think so!
